In a stunning development that has rocked the NBA community, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chief Basketball Officer, Markell Simmons, has been suspended indefinitely by the league following an internal investigation into alleged violations of organizational conduct policies.
The NBA released a brief statement Friday morning:
“We are aware of the situation involving the Oklahoma City Thunder’s front office and have taken immediate action pending the outcome of a comprehensive review. Effective immediately, Mr. Simmons is suspended from all team and league-related activities.”
