In addition to this front-office role, Miller is also expected to serve in a Senior Coaching Advisor capacity, mentoring the coaching staff and working directly with players—particularly guards—on skill development and leadership.

“I’ve never stopped being a Pacer,” Miller said in an emotional address. “This franchise gave me everything, and now it’s time for me to give back in a bigger way. I’m here to build champions, to mentor the next generation, and to bring another banner to Indianapolis.”

Reggie Miller spent his entire 18-year NBA career with the Indiana Pacers after being selected 11th overall in the 1987 NBA Draft. Known for his clutch shooting, unshakable confidence, and fierce rivalries—particularly with the New York Knicks—Miller remains the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and is widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters in league history.

His No. 31 jersey was retired by the Pacers in 2006, and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
