The Penrith Panthers have taken a major step toward shaping the future of their home base, with newly appointed ambassador and strategic advisor Phil Gould formally submitting a $75.6 million stadium renovation proposal to the Panthers Group. The proposal, delivered just minutes after Gould’s arrival, outlines an ambitious redevelopment plan aimed at modernising the club’s facilities ahead of the 2026 season.
According to sources within the organisation, the proposal reflects months of consultation with architects, community stakeholders, and football operations staff. Gould, one of the most influential figures in Australian rugby league administration, has positioned the project as both a sporting and community investment, designed to secure the Panthers’ long-term competitiveness on and off the field.
The renovation plan focuses on transforming the existing stadium into a modern, multi-purpose venue capable of hosting elite-level rugby league while also serving the wider Penrith community. Key features of the proposal include upgraded grandstands, improved player and training facilities, enhanced fan amenities, and modern corporate and media infrastructure.
