A wave of excitement swept through Chase Field today as the Arizona Diamondbacks announced the return of former manager and franchise legend Torey Lovullo. Lovullo is rejoining the team as a Senior Coaching Advisor, bringing his leadership and experience back to the dugout.

Lovullo, who managed the D-backs from 2017 to 2024 and led them to a memorable National League pennant in 2023, is widely regarded as one of the most respected figures in the organization’s history. After stepping away from managerial duties last season, his return marks a major moment for the franchise.

“Torey’s knowledge of the game and deep connection to this team and community make him an incredible asset,” said Diamondbacks General Manager Mike Hazen. “We’re excited to have his voice back in the clubhouse as we push for another deep postseason run.”
