BREAKING NEWS: Tyrese Haliburton’s Game 6 Status to Be a Last-Minute Decision

In a dramatic twist just hours before a pivotal Game 6 in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Indiana Pacers have announced that star point guard Tyrese Haliburton’s status will be a last-minute decision.

Haliburton, who has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury suffered earlier in the series, was listed as questionable heading into the day. According to team sources, he participated in light shootaround activities this morning but has not yet been cleared for full game action.

“We’re going to see how he feels after warmups,” head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters. “He’s pushing to play, but we have to be smart. It’s the playoffs, but we also need to protect our players.”

Haliburton has been the engine of Indiana’s offense all postseason, averaging 20.3 points and 8.7 assists per game. Without him, the Pacers will likely rely more heavily on Andrew Nembhard, T.J. McConnell, and rookie sensation Ben Sheppard to carry the backcourt duties.

The Pacers trail 3-2 in the series and face elimination tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. If Haliburton is unable to go, it would be a massive blow to their chances of forcing a Game 7.
