In an extraordinary act of generosity and social commitment, Milwaukee Bucks superstar and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has announced a $6.7 million personal investment to transform a series of vacant houses into modern shelters for homeless youth in the city of Milwaukee.
The initiative, unveiled at a press conference this morning, aims to renovate and repurpose more than a dozen abandoned or dilapidated properties into safe, fully equipped transitional housing units. These shelters will provide beds, meals, counseling services, educational support, and job training programs for vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness.

The Bucks organization also voiced full support for Giannis’s project, noting his long history of involvement in local charitable work. Construction is set to begin within months, with the first youth residents expected to move in by next year.
The program will partner with local nonprofits specializing in youth homelessness and mental health services to ensure the shelters provide comprehensive care.
