The Edmonton Oilers have made a strategic addition to their offensive lineup by signing right wing Quinn Hutson to an entry-level deal. The 22-year-old forward officially accepted the offer today, adding another dynamic weapon to the Oilers’ already potent attack.

Hutson, known for his speed, scoring touch, and high hockey IQ, comes to Edmonton after a standout collegiate career with the Boston University Terriers. In his final NCAA season, Hutson racked up 38 points (19 goals, 19 assists) in 34 games, demonstrating consistency and clutch scoring.

The deal is reported to be a standard three-year entry-level contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $800,000, aligning with the league minimum for rookies but offering performance bonuses based on NHL appearances and production.

Oilers GM Ken Holland praised the signing, saying, “Quinn is a skilled and determined player with a lot of upside. He’s shown he can compete at a high level and we believe he has the tools to contribute to our success in the near future.”

Hutson is expected to join the Oilers for development camp later this month, where he’ll have a chance to prove himself among other top prospects. Depending on his performance in training camp, he could start the 2025–26 season in Bakersfield with the Oilers’ AHL affiliate or fight for a bottom-six role in the NHL roster.
