DEAL ACCEPTED: St. Louis Blues Right Wing Jimmy Snuggerud Signs 3-Year Entry-Level Contract

St. Louis, MO — June 16, 2025

The St. Louis Blues have officially announced the signing of top prospect Jimmy Snuggerud to a three-year entry-level contract, marking a major milestone in the young forward’s career — and a major win for the Blues’ future.

Snuggerud, the 23rd overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, just wrapped up a dominant junior season with the University of Minnesota, where he led the team in scoring with 24 goals and 27 assists (51 points) in 40 games.

“We’re thrilled to bring Jimmy into the fold,” said Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong. “His leadership, scoring ability, and hockey IQ make him a tremendous addition to our organization.”

Snuggerud leaves behind an impressive collegiate career, finishing with 66 goals and 135 points in 119 games over three seasons. He is one of only three players in Gophers history to score 20+ goals in each of his first three seasons.

He was also a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, given to the best player in NCAA men’s hockey, and helped Team USA win gold at the 2024 World Juniors.
