“When I first met Taliah, I’ll admit she wasn’t what I expected,” Savage revealed. “My mind was fully on footy and I wasn’t looking for anything else. My focus was completely on my career with the Raiders and becoming the best player I could be.”

“But Taliah was different,” he continued. “She had this spark about her. She was confident, full of energy, and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. That really caught my attention.”

Savage explained that at the beginning he wasn’t sure where things would lead. Balancing the intense demands of professional rugby league with a personal relationship is never easy, especially for a young player building his reputation in the National Rugby League.

“At the time, I wasn’t sure how things would go,” he said. “But the more I got to know her, the more I realized how special she is. She supported me in ways I didn’t even know I needed.”

“She’s been there through the tough games, the injuries, and the pressure,” he shared. “She reminds me who I am outside of football. That means everything to me.”
