The energetic winger, known for his explosive runs and infectious personality on the field, recently opened up about how his relationship with Moesha began — and how it unexpectedly changed his life.
“When I first met Moesha Crichton-Ropati, I’ll admit she wasn’t what I expected,” To’o said. “My mind was fully on footy and I wasn’t looking for anything else at the time. My focus was just on playing well and helping my team.”
Like many professional athletes competing in the demanding environment of the National Rugby League, To’o explained that his career and dedication to the game had always come first.
But Moesha quickly stood out in a way he hadn’t anticipated.
“But Moesha was different,” he continued. “She had this spark about her. She was confident, full of energy, and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. I loved that about her. She brought this positive vibe that made everything feel easier.”
The Panthers star admitted that at first he wasn’t sure how their relationship would unfold, but the more time they spent together, the more he realized how special she truly was.
“At the time, I didn’t know how things would go,” To’o said. “But the more I got to know her, the more I realized how special she is. She’s always supported me — through the pressure, the tough games, and the big moments.”
Now, according to To’o, Moesha has become one of the most important people in his life.
“Now she’s not just my partner — she’s my biggest supporter and my best friend,” he added. “She keeps me grounded and reminds me what really matters outside of rugby league.”
