OFFICIAL: National Rugby League NRL and Manly Sea Eagles world are disappointed _Manly Sea’s Eagles head coach Anthony Seibold arrested after allegedly sexual assault….

The National Rugby League (NRL) and the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have released official statements expressing deep disappointment following the arrest of head coach Anthony Seibold over an alleged sexual assault.
According to reports, Seibold was taken into police custody earlier this week after a complaint was made involving an alleged incident that occurred earlier this month. Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and no formal charges have yet been proven in court.
In a brief statement, an NRL spokesperson said the league was “aware of the serious allegations” and was cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities.
“The NRL takes all matters of this nature extremely seriously. We are seeking further information and will make no further comment until due process has taken its course,” the statement read.
The Manly Sea Eagles also issued a separate response, saying they were “shocked and disappointed” by the news.
“Our immediate priority is to respect the legal process and support all parties involved. The club will refrain from further comment while investigations are ongoing,” the club’s spokesperson said.
Anthony Seibold, 49, a former NRL player and premiership-winning coach, joined Manly in 2022 after previous coaching stints with South Sydney and the Brisbane Broncos. His future with the Sea Eagles remains uncertain as the club and the NRL review the situation.
Legal experts note that while Seibold has not been convicted, the allegations could have significant repercussions for both his career and the club’s public image.
As the case develops, fans and the wider rugby league community are being urged to allow the investigation to proceed without speculation or prejudice.
