TOUCHDOWN FEW MINUTES AGO: Kansas State Wildcat NCAA Community Overjoyed as President Charlie Baker and Head Coach Chris Klieman Announce Veteran Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Reaves as the New C…

In a move that sent shockwaves through the college football world, NCAA President Charlie Baker and Kansas State Head Coach Chris Klieman stunned fans today by announcing that NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes — or as he’s now mysteriously known, “Patrick Mahomes Reaves” — will be joining the Kansas State Wildcats as the team’s new… well, they didn’t finish the sentence.

Rumors are flying. New coach? Quarterback? Chancellor of Swag? No one really knows.

“TOUCHDOWN MAHOMES!!!” read the Kansas State Athletics’ Twitter account just moments after the announcement, followed by a dozen purple heart emojis and a cryptic photo of Mahomes photoshopped into a Wildcats jersey holding a K-State Powercat-branded lightsaber.

A Stunning Comeback… to College?

Patrick Mahomes, former Texas Tech quarterback and current Kansas City Chiefs megastar, has reportedly decided to “return to the purity of the game.”

“Being a two-time Super Bowl champ is cool and all,” said Mahomes Reaves in the surprise press conference. “But I miss the 8 a.m. lectures, the 12-cent laundry machines, and the thrill of cafeteria taco Tuesdays.”

The quarterback, now adopting the surname “Reaves” for reasons still unclear, cited “unfinished business” in the NCAA. Though he never played for Kansas State — or even considered them in high school — he says he had a dream where Willie the Wildcat whispered, “You belong here.”

NCAA President Endorses the Chaos

NCAA President Charlie Baker, often known for his composed demeanor, was beaming during the announcement.

“This is the kind of energy we need in college football,” Baker said, high-fiving reporters and handing out Mahomes Reaves bobbleheads. “Sure, this technically violates 47 different eligibility rules, but we’re rebranding that as ‘vintage flexibility.’”

Coach Klieman Calls It a “Spiritual Transfer”

When asked how the team managed to recruit the reigning face of the NFL, Coach Chris Klieman responded, “You know, some players transfer schools. Some transfer positions. Mahomes transferred dimensions.”

He later clarified that the quarterback’s eligibility will be determined by “vibes, mostly.”

Wildcat Fans Go Wild

Within minutes of the announcement, the Kansas State bookstore was sold out of Mahomes Reaves jerseys, foam fingers, and a new line of “Reaves the Day” collectible hot sauce.

Students flooded the campus streets chanting, “MVP! KSU!” and one sophomore reportedly renamed her cat “Patrick Meow-homes.”

What’s Next?

Whether Mahomes Reaves plays as a quarterback, coach, team spirit animal, or simply a cosmic symbol of the new NCAA era, one thing is certain: Manhattan, Kansas has never seen this much action outside of a sunflower festival.
