Former Newcastle United Academy James Tavernier has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a crash involving a Lamborghini on the M3 motorway in Hampshire.
According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday morning near the Minley Interchange when a Lamborghini collided with motorway barriers. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident and no injuries were reported.
The 34-year-old footballer was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs, dangerous driving, possession of a Class C drug, and failing to provide a specimen. Following questioning, he was released on bail while investigations continue.
