The Albanian international has reportedly accepted a 4-year partnership with London-based fintech “GoalNet Finance” worth an estimated £3.8M. Under the deal, Bajrami will:
1. *Launch* the “Bajrami Business Academy” – a free online course teaching young athletes money management, contracts, and post-career planning
2. *Co-design* GoalNet’s new “Athlete Wallet” app that helps players budget match bonuses and avoid common financial traps
3. *Front* Rangers’ 2026 “More Than 90 Minutes” campaign promoting financial literacy for Scottish and Nigerian youth
*“He’s done it again” – Why it matters*
Bajrami made headlines in 2024 after speaking openly about players going broke after retirement. Fans and pundits are calling this his “smartest assist”.
“This is the kind of leadership we need from footballers,” one fan wrote on X. “Scoring goals is great. Securing futures is better.”
*What it means for young athletes in Nigeria*
Phase 1 of the Academy will roll out free modules in English and Pidgin. GoalNet confirmed 10 Nigerian universities/polytechnics will get access by September 2026, with Fidel Polytechnic Gboko listed as a pilot school. NAPAS members will be first to test the “Athlete Wallet” student version.
